How to split .zip files and join them in Linux?

Post by arnlweb » Tue Dec 03, 2019 11:11 am

It's so simple to do split .zip files and join them in Linux. :D :D

Login in-to your server via Putty or something else.

Go to your destination folder location.

Example:

Code: Select all

cd /var/www/html/

Code: Select all

split your-zip-file-name.zip -b 100M ZIPCHUNKS
You can change the value 100m to 200m or 1GB

After completed the process,

Run this

Code: Select all

cat ZIPCHUNKS* > your-NEW-zip-file-name.zip
I hope it helps you.

Thank you.
